How to Apply the Protector?
Precautions before applying the Protector: Wait at least 8 weeks after installing new boards before applying protection.
After letting new boards rest for at least 2 months, clean thoroughly using the Starbrite Composite Wood Cleaner Concentrate.
First, test in a small corner to ensure the final appearance is suitable.
When applying the Protector, the tone of the composite board or tile will darken slightly, giving it a “wet wood” look, just as it would naturally after rinsing or rain. Apply a single, very thin coat of Protector with a wide brush, board by board. Allow to dry completely for 1 to 2 hours depending on ambient temperature. Full curing occurs in 24 hours.
