Ingredients
250 g dried chickpeas (soaked overnight in cold water)
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 bunch of coriander
A few sprigs of parsley
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp golden sesame seeds
A pinch of chili powder
Salt, pepper
Oil
Preparation:
1. Drain and dry the chickpeas. Place them in a food processor with the herbs, onion, garlic, spices, baking soda, sesame seeds, and a little salt and pepper.
2. Blend until you get a coarse paste. Chill for one hour.
3. Scoop out small amounts of the mixture with a tablespoon and shape into patties with your hands. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
4. Preheat your Kokko and lightly oil the surface. Brown the patties for a few minutes on each side, turning them with your spatula. Place on paper towels before serving.
Tip: Serve hot or warm with a Greek salad or pita bread with tzatziki.
