Cooking time: 5 min – Preparation time: 5 min – Serves: 2
Ingredients
6 Babybel
3 slices of smoked cured ham
1 sprig of thyme
1 egg
Fine breadcrumbs
Flour
Green salad
Preparation:
1. Unwrap the Babybel. In three separate small bowls, place the flour, the breadcrumbs, and the beaten egg. Coat the Babybel in flour, then dip them in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
2. Repeat the process a second time to create a generous crispy coating. Cut the ham slices in half lengthwise.
3. Wrap each cheese with a slice of ham, and tuck two small sprigs of thyme under the ham.
4. On a hot Kokko cooking plate, drizzle a little oil and brown the cheeses on each side. Serve immediately on a bed of green salad.
Tip: You can prepare this recipe ahead of time, chill the cheese, and brown them just before serving to your guests. You can also season your coating with spices.
