Tomato steaks

Steaks de tomate


Cooking time: 5 min – Preparation time: 5 min – Serves: 2

Ingredients

1 beef heart tomato
Balsamic cream
Olive oil
Fleur de sel
Pepper


Preparation:

1. Remove both ends of the tomato, then cut it in half to get two thick slices.

2. On a well-heated Kokko, drizzle a little olive oil and grill the tomato steaks for 2 minutes on each side.

3. Serve the steaks on a bed of lamb’s lettuce and season with freshly ground pepper, a pinch of fleur de sel, a drizzle of olive oil, and a few drops of balsamic cream.

Tip: You can use a flavored salt (for example, Espelette pepper salt). The tomato should be slightly tender inside but not mushy. You can serve the tomato steaks with fries.
