Ingredients:
4 apples
150 g flour
150 g butter (25 g + 125 g)
75 g brown sugar
25 g white sugar
1 vanilla pod
Ground cinnamon
Equipment:
Chamba black clay mixing bowl
Chamba black clay dish
Small cast iron pan
Preparation:
1. Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
2. In your small cast iron pan, caramelize them with a little butter (25 g) and white sugar. Add a tablespoon of cinnamon (more or less, to taste) and the seeds from the vanilla pod. Pour the mixture into the buttered black clay dish.
3. In the mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and softened butter. Rub together with your fingers until you get a crumbly texture. Spread the crumble over the apples.
4. Fire up your Kokko to 220°C and bake the crumble for 30 minutes in your black clay dish.
Tip: Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
