Ingredients:
300 g beef
1 large onion
2 sprigs of chives
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp caster sugar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 heaping tsp curry powder
1 tsp five-spice blend
Salt
Olive oil
Equipment:
Kokko kamado Little, L or XL
Chamba black clay round dish
Cast iron plancha cooking plate
or round cast iron cooking plate
or cast iron skillet
Fine stainless steel tongs for gently turning and serving the meat slices
Preparation:
1. Preheat your Kokko over high heat.
2. Slice the beef into thin strips and set aside in a dish.
3. Finely slice the onion and chives, and set both aside.
4. Drizzle the beef with soy sauce, sugar, curry powder, and five-spice blend. Place the onions on the plancha and sauté for 1 minute.
5. Add the beef and cook for 3 minutes until browned but still tender.
6. Turn off your Kokko while continuing to stir the mixture. Sprinkle with chives and season with salt.
