No ski trip planned this year? That’s no reason to let your spirits drop. So let’s get motivated, fire up your Kokko, and host a winter evening to remember. From décor to marshmallows, here are all our ideas to make your winter gathering truly special.
1 - Set the scene with décor
Bring your outdoor space to life this winter with beautiful warm lighting to create a cozy atmosphere. Scatter candles, lanterns, and string lights everywhere. For an even more inviting vibe and to keep the warmth close, set up a small garden canopy where everyone can gather underneath.

Dress up your table with natural elements to give the feeling of dining in the great outdoors around a campfire—except this time, it’s around your Kokko.
2 - Keep everyone warm
For this evening, the Kokko takes center stage. It’s both a symbol of togetherness and a source of warmth, so skip the patio heaters and energy-hungry blowers—they have no place at this gathering. Remember, the theme is winter; you’re not aiming for a tropical night in February!

Instead, drape blankets and throws over the seats and invite your guests to bring their après-ski boots, down jackets, gloves, and beanies. There’s nothing like stargazing in the heart of winter, stretched out on a deckchair and wrapped up in a thick blanket!
3 - Reinvent raclette, tartiflette, and fondue on the Kokko
A winter gathering calls for hearty, generous dishes. And what would winter be without raclette, tartiflette, or fondue? These seasonal classics may be rich, but they’re simply irresistible! With your Kokko, you’ll wow your guests by preparing a tartiflette with homemade smoked bacon.

More of a raclette fan? Give it a twist by smoking your cheese on the Kokko for a unique flavor. Or reinvent it as a raclette pizza, try your hand at a flammekueche, or, for even more cheesy indulgence, prepare a smoked camembert and roast it with potato and bacon skewers, or melt for a Mont-d’Or with onions and bacon. Delicious!

Don’t forget fondue—it’s the perfect dish for a relaxed dinner party. Place a cast iron pot on the Kokko grill to keep the cheese warm and invite your guests to dip their bread, one after the other.
Pair your dishes with a good glass of mulled wine and finish on a sweet note with flambéed bananas, caramelized pineapple, roasted mango or by grilling marshmallows for a true American-style BBQ moment!
